While we highly recommend resizing all your images, you may also choose specific photos to resize. You can use the filters in the image table to do this.
Step 1 - Deselect all images
By default, all images the app recommends for resizing are automatically selected. Make sure to click the 'Deselect all' checkbox to ensure you're selecting only the images you want to resize.
Check that the 'Resize' button is greyed out, as shown below. This indicates that no images are currently selected.
Step 2 - Choose the filter to find your product images
The Photo Resize app has four (4) default filters you can use:
Collections: This will populate all the collections in your store
Products: Use this to search for specific products in your store
Product status: This option allows you to choose from product status, such as active or draft
Hero image: This option allows you to filter images based on their image position. Hero images are position #1, while the rest are secondary.
These filters work the same way as the filters on your Shopify admin. This means you can enable multiple filters to find the products you want to resize.
Step 3 - Select your images
Once you're done filtering, you can start selecting images. You can click the 'Select all' checkbox or select specific photos within the filter. The number of images selected automatically reflects on the 'Resize XX images' button.
Step 4 - Resize and update your images by clicking the 'Resize images' button
If you're not subscribed to a monthly plan, you may need to choose a plan and/or approve a charge via the Shopify payment page.
